About M R Gardens

M R Gardens is a sustainable plant nursery and educational farm, providing native landscape design and garden-coaching services. Plant sales include native perennials, groundcovers and medicinal herbs, grown sustainably in our passive solar greenhouse. Reserve your seedlings online at nativeplantsasheville.com as early as February. We assist homeowners in creating healthy ecosystems in their backyards, focusing on habitat for pollinators, song birds and other wildlife. Tours and educational programs are also available at the farm.

      LODGING

      Tiny Home at the Gardens

The Tiny Home sits on a hill overlooking two-acre organic farm, meadows and surrounding mountains. Feels like you're in the country, yet you're a 10-15 min drive from the eclectic downtown, famous Biltmore, and arts districts. The pine-cedar paneled 8'x24' house is bright and sunny with high ceilings. Full-sized bath/tub. Comfy queen-sized bed. Full-sized mattress in loft. Well-equipped kitchen. Composting toilet. Our aim is all natural! The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea and organic snacks, and the bathroom with all natural shampoos and soaps. Guests have the option to purchase a seasonal fruit/veggie harvest. Don't be afraid to cook in the small space, which most people remark is more spacious than they expected. In addition to the fully equipped kitchen, guests have access to a propane grill outside. We hope your outdoor experience is just as much as part of your stay as your indoor one. A seating area with Adirondack chairs overlooks the property and surrounding hills. From there, you are welcome to walk the mowed path over to the fire pit for a full view of the mountains.
