About Poe Farms
Our farm is located along the north fork of the New River in Creston, North Carolina. Our family has lived and farmed this same land for over 7 generations. Although our family's farming practices began as sustenance, the farm grew to be the largest producer of pole beans in Ashe County in the 1940's. After pole beans, our family farmed tobacco and more recently transitioned to Christmas trees and hemp. We grow Fraser fir Christmas trees and multiple varieties of hemp plants for CBD products. Christmas trees are sold at stands near Greenville, NC and CBD products from our hemp are sold by Naked Creek FARMacy in West Jefferson, NC. Our family of farmers has always been open to experimentation and have cultivated a variation of the American chestnut tree. Starts for this tree are available upon request.
