Our farm, located between the towns of Philadelphia and Loudon, is in the heart of southeast Tennessee's dairy-rich Sweetwater Valley. It is known for its agricultural vitality and progress. We're proud to be a part of this rich farming region. While today's Sweetwater Valley Farm cheese is produced in a state-of-the-art facility, owner John Harrison has preserved the fine art and craft of making cheese in the traditional farmstead manner in which we control the process from cow to consumer in order to create high-quality cheddar cheese. “People are fascinated with milking a cow‚“ says John Harrison of Sweetwater Valley Farm. This fascination and curiosity encouraged John to build The Udder Story milking exhibit so that people of all ages can get a glimpse of the past. Most importantly, visitors learn how dairy is the solution for a very hungry world. The Udder Story exhibit houses a little bit of the past, answers the question of what dairy farming is today, as well as shares the technology of the future with people that need to know – YOU!
