Formerly Wild Mountain Apiaries, Jon Christie's bee farm is now Lucky U Honey. Over 20 years of beekeeping & involvement in our local WNC bee community. Using sustainable organic methods, my bees produce many "always local, always raw" varietal honeys. Depending on various seasonal environmental factors these may include: -Spring Wildflower a dark amber honey largely composed of nectar from tulip poplar and berry blooms, full body and rich caramel flavor -Spring Locust form both black & honey locust trees, a mild sweetness with a magical vanilla flavor -Basswood or Linden, fruity with a tangy lime/citrus finish, some folks pick up notes of mint as well -Sourwood the famous southern Appalachian honey exclusively produced in this region. Not sour in the least, but actually a delicate and magical buttery butterscotch taste. This honey has won world honey competitions on more than a few occasions
