About Randall Cove Farm
Randall Cove Farm is a traditional small scale, self sufficient mountain farm. About 15 acres is in pasture, two acres in garden and orchard, and the rest is wooded mountainside with ample springs and creeks. We have a herd of about 12 Nubian goats for milk and cheese, about 18 Shetland sheep for wool and meat, one Jersey cow, a heiffer and a steer for milk, cheese, and beef. We raise heritage Red Wattle hogs as well. We keep chickens, ducks, and Guineas for eggs and meat. The woods are filled with a variety of wild mushrooms, greens, herbs, nuts, and fruits that we harvest. Between the young orchard and the garden of a little over an acre, we raise more than 60 varieties of vegetables and fruits, many of them heirlooms.
