Our journey has a unique beginning, reflective of our personal lives and the stories we know and love. Being English majors, we are familiar with The Odyssey, by Homer. It is an epic poem and the inspiration for the beginning of our journey. The story centers around a warrior, Odysseus, who leaves home to fight in the Trojan War for 10 years. He then spent an additional 10 years traveling the world to return home to a quiet life with his family. After years traveling the world ourselves with the United States Navy and learning more about farming and producing quality and chemical free produce for the community, we decided we were ready to make the return journey home as well to make our dream a reality. Because the story of the Odyssey mirrored our personal story, we decided on the name of Odyssey Farms for our business and homestead.
Odyssey Farms is veteran owned and proud to serve the local community. Our family is ready to come home and live a sustainable lifestyle with transparency and knowledge of where our food comes from. We view being good stewards of our environment and our health as a no fail mission. We invite you to join our regenerative movement and enjoy the delicious foods that we produce-and remember as well that the greatest of journeys always leads you home! We currently are growing various greens, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, onion and more, and intend to expand into an orchard and berry patch in the coming years.
