SLAP Farms is a 35-acre farm in Greeneville, TN. Founded in 2018 by Tim Spann and Jay Thayer, SLAP Farms represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. Our farming practices are based on the principles of regenerative agriculture – feeding the soil to restore soil organic matter and biodiversity – so the soil can provide for the crops and livestock raised on it. We raise pastured poultry—chickens for meat and eggs, and turkeys. Our birds are allowed to live on open pasture in the fresh air and sunshine, receive non-GMO feed, and move to fresh pasture daily. We process our chickens and turkeys on-farm so we can assure you of the highest quality product.

Orders can be placed anytime to be picked up on farm (within 24 hours of purchase) or at the next upcoming local farmers market. We participate in the Depot Street Farmers Market in Greeneville, TN, the Johnson City Farmers Market in Johnson City, TN, and the Jonesborough Farmers Market in Jonesborough, TN.
Orders can be picked up on farm or at one of the farmers markets we attend.

SLAP Farms welcomes visitors to come and see how we raise our poultry in a sustainable, regenerative manner. Visitors can tour the farm on their own or with one of the owners. No part of the farm is off limits. No reservations are required, but a day's notice is requested to ensure we'll be around to answer any questions. If visitors are interested in volunteering on the farm for a few hours to experience first hand what we do we are happy to welcome them with prior notification.
