About Good Wheel Farm
We are a diversified livestock farm raising sheep, cows, laying hens, meat chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys. Our aim is to enliven our place and its soil with regenerative land management and to provide our community with nourishing food. Our farm is a contiguous landscape of wild spaces, orchards and pastures - 40 acres of grasses, forbs, fruit trees, nuts, and shrubs. Some planted. Some emergent and wild. Our animals pulse through this landscape in rotation as we move our sheep, cows and poultry to fresh pasture daily. With swift daily movements of animals, we usurp the role of the predators by means of electric fencing, eliminate the need or desire for fertilizer or chemicals or inputs, and more importantly, contribute to the abundance and regeneration of this place.
