SKYe2 Farm was started in 2016 as a sustainable, organic and experimental farm. Flowers, apples, mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus, mints, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and a unique variety of edibles are grown over 40 acres on this former Christmas tree site. Other plantings include grapes, herbs, medicinal plants, fruit trees, nut trees, berry bushes and dried ingredients for teas. Also, dahlias, peony, gladiolas, chamomile, zinnias, poppy, sunflower, lavender, bachelor buttons, cone flowers and more are grown and are surrounded by wildflowers throughout the mountain top meadows. Hummingbirds, Monarch butterflies and bumble bees make SKYe2 Farm their annual summer retreat. This diversity enjoys panoramic long-range views of Roan Mtn. and is perhaps the highest working/organic farm on the East coast. Farm visits are a wonderful way to understand our organic practices and to relax or walk in a picturesque setting. Just call in advance to maker arrangements at 919-247-4449. Our website hosts hundreds of pictures and can be found at www.skye2farm.com.
