About The Tart Farm

The Tart Farm is a small, family-run homestead farm in Western North Carolina, where goats, chickens, gardens, and mountain weather all have strong opinions. We focus on small-scale, personal food production with careful animal care, seasonal growing, and a close connection to the people we serve. Our Appalachian Grown products include a limited goat herd share program, which gives members access to fresh goat milk in season, as well as eggs, garden produce, and herbs when available. We keep our farm intentionally small, so our offerings follow the real rhythms of the herd, the hens, and the garden. The goal is simple: local food, raised with care, shared in a personal and practical way.
