We are a small farm located in Liberty, South Carolina. We grow fresh produce year round in high tunnels, with my main focus on fall, winter and spring production. Favorite crops include kale, greens, root crops, garlic, onions, ginger and turmeric.
Although not Certified Organic, we do follow sustainable and organic principles. We use integrated pest management, well water drip irrigation, and any supplements or products used in production are certified for use in organic production. I also follow Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in production and post-production.
We have a flock of about 30 chickens, who are free to roam the property and recycle grass and bugs into eggs. We get a wide variety of egg colors, including white, pink, blues, greens and browns, including dark chocolate brown.
In 2020, we added a small flock of Tunis sheep, and will plan to venture into wool and meat production.
We have struggled to maintain our bee hives (for pollination, honey and beeswax) but continue to work at it.
