About Highgate Farm

Highgate Farm is a Certified Naturally Grown market garden and off-grid homestead located in the scenic Walnut Mountains of Madison County NC, just outside of Marshall. Our business model is inspired by the traditional French Market Garden, with great attention to detail, supplying a broad selection of high quality and specialty produce, herbs, and flowers to area tailgate markets, and CSA members. As a small scale CNG farm, our practices are closely aligned with Organic standards, and our products are only sold locally. We employ a small 4WD and walk-behind tractors, hand tools, drip irrigation, a passive solar propagation house, spun row cover, NOP compliant inputs and integrated pest management (IPM). Labor is provided by 2 full-time farmers, seasonal farm apprentices, interns, WWOOFers and work-traders. Find our beatiful produce at tailgate markets in Weaverville, West Asheville and Black Mountain, with CSA pick-up at those locations and on the farm in Marshall.
