About The Little Half Acre

We are a teaching and touring homestead practicing no til, organic growing. Our Farm-to-Table brunch and lunch programs include workshops on food abundance in difficult conditions. Guided tours are also available every Friday and Saturday. Please book through our website. On our small holding (half an acre) we grow paw-paws, pears, peaches, apples, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, goji and elderberries. Our potager garden produces abundant vegetables, flowers and herbs. We are a closed-loop permaculture and polyculture homestead. We use no pesticides - ever. Not even the organic ones. We raise chickens and ducks and are planning to add rabbits. I am a certified advanced North Carolina gardener who loves sharing ways for other growers to get off the "fertilizer and pesticide" treadmill.
