Dolci di Maria is a bakery specializing in gluten-free and vegan desserts. Our delicious cakes and brownies are sold to natural and specialty food stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and universities and hospitals. We even have products in our local Ingles stores! We also sell several products online through our website.
Committed to supporting our local economy, we use local fruits and eggs, and provide training and employment to bakers. We sell at the North Asheville Tailgate Market on Saturdays. Weddings, birthdays, and catering orders are welcome and handled with personal attention.
Founded in 2008 by Mary Tantillo, a mom who began creating gluten and dairy-free desserts for her two children with food allergies and sensitivities. Bringing the desserts to market filled a niche, up to that point under-served.
Dolci means “sweets” in Italian. Mary was inspired by the fine art of Italian pastry making to create delicious gluten and dairy-free desserts that are perfectly balanced in texture and taste. Everything is freshly baked with natural and organic ingredients and many are Vegan.
We bake everything by scratch in our own dedicated gluten-free facility in beautiful Black Mountain, on the outskirts of Asheville, NC.
